"Both statements are indirectly urging us not to focus on stuttering (dysfluency). It can clearly be inferred." I think you misinterpreted them. The statements are quite literal. It's simply: Each time you don't stutter, you strengthen the network of the neurons within your nervous system -> you will stutter less(how little it is doesnt matter) afterwards, feel good, whatever. Do it continuously, you will interrupt the stutter pattern and break the chain. Hence in order for us to stop stuttering, or to eliminate it, we must hear fluency and not hear disfluency. It has nothing to do with "focus" on your stuttering. Instead focusing your stuttering will make you stutter worse, i mean we all know that "Even Steve Harvey tried this crap on his show with a young woman who stuttered" tried what? on what episode? lol. this is not a technique or something you can try in one sitting, are you making things up dude?
