It's almost uncanny how similar my experience has been to your OP. I have Bipolar 2, but I'm about to turn 29 and had my first couple episodes (before I was even aware they were episodes) around 2014/2015. Ive actually been trying to think of a way to word my theories on the correlation between stuttering and Bipolar Disorder, but I haven't been able to really word it well. But recently I was reading [this article about research done in the field of stuttering controlling medicine](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7118465/) and I noticed I was recognizing a lot of medicines listed that have been tested. Haloperidol, Olanzapine, Risperidone, Aripiprazole, and Ziprasidone are all mentioned, and I knew from my past learning about bipolar, that all those are also used to treat bipolar disorder. It makes me wonder how common it is among stuttering adults to also have Bipolar disorder, and I wonder if there's any correlation aside from the aspect of societal stress and social anxiety from a young age potentially leading to developing bipolar traits. I'm far from a doctor, but I want to bring all this up to my doctor and therapist and see if there's actually been any more substantial research findings.
