I have really strong separation by languages as well. I speak my native language with family exclusively, and there I sometimes go through periods where I have severe stuttering and can barely complete a sentence. In English, on the other hand, where I am more fluent, my worst periods manifest as maybe one stutter per day, to the point that English speakers are typically surprised when I tell them I stutter at all.
