IDK if this will help you, but disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame really helped me put my stutter into perspective. Specifically the song One Day Out There. The hunchback (I don't know how to spell his name I'm sorry!) singing about how people down below him/ outside Notre Dame don't know how lucky they are to not be trapped inside the church, while the cathedral remains beautiful, and a sanctuary to him. We are not trapped inside a building by a controlling, abusive monster. It is a physical disability similar to a limp, only instead of affecting our ability to climb stairs, it's speaking. Difficult nonetheless, but just as defeat able. \*corny warning\* You can manage this, I believe in you.
