Non-Speech Therapy to improve stuttering Everyone always recommends speech therapy, but I feel like Basic therapy is a very underrated option. I believe stuttering is cognitive for a very big part. There’s so many things like (irrational) beliefs, fear and trauma that have a big influence on stuttering if you ask me. Not to mention that it wouldn’t be far-fetched to say lots of stutterers suffer from social anxiety. A therapist can improve that, high chance it will improve your speech too . They’re probably a lot better trained regarding the psychological side than speech therapists. My therapist helped me with my coping of stuttering and it helped me so much, mentally but also with fluency. Just to lay out there but I’m at BetterHelp.com
