Stuttering is most likely a neurological issue. As everything concerning the brain, the use of medications has proven very unsuccessful so far, look for example at all the falling Alzheimer’s trials where billions and billions have been burned so far. It’s unlikely that a magic bullet will be invented in the near future. There might be drugs which support speech a bit here and there by tackling factors which lead to more stuttering (eg making people calmer)
