Yeah, growing up I lived in a situation where my dad would beat my mom. Had a stutter pretty bad growing up. My mom was angry with my first grade teacher because she suggested I be put in special education and that I had anger issues. I never put the trauma and my stutter together during my life. Finally my wife brought it up that sometimes it is trauma induced. Talked to my aunt and she told me the story of my mom and the teacher was not true. What my first grade teacher said was that she thinks something is wrong with my home life, and that’s where my behavior and stutter come from. I really do believe it did come from this, as it never came until after the events.
