Stuttering is ... Unlike the other disabilities, stuttering looks trickly cute from the outside, not that harmful to the person who suffer from it, you take some extra seconds to spell a word and that's it, you can do the other things in your life freely. But; All the other things need you to say something, your name to present yourself, "excuse me" to someone blocking your way, the order name to the server, "thank you" after getting the order, "congratulations" to a friend, "wishing health and long living" to you grandparents... These small talks that make our life tasteful, meaningful, become hell. Big talks? At school, at work, a serious discussion with parents or friends, or just explaining your point of view. You begin with only the subject in mind, gradually your focus starts chasing words, trying to come up with new easy to articulate ones, you try to catch the idea you started with, stay aligned and not lose your interlocutor attention, now you're physically exhausted, and frustrated, you want to give up but nah, it will make you worse. It's everywhere, and involved in every detail of social life, you're not a parent yet, you think of this part of your futur life and how you're gonna be the idol daddy/mommy to your kids, but you know already, it will be there waiting for you. Stuck in constant pain and fear, that make you anxious, which in its turn leads to more fear and frustration, the vicious cycle of stuttering. Does this hectic life have a bright side? YES! It does, you managed to achieve the same goals as your fluent peers, or even better, maybe with more pain and less joy, but with waaay more satisfaction, If miracle has a name, it would be you. Don't underestimate your suffering, nor your strength, be proud of yourself as much as you can, don't let this cute monster weaken you, you weigh more than what come out of your mouth. You weigh the value you add to this life with your differences.
