This is why you shouldn't hook on those speech managing techniques, it'll move you far away from how natural speech should be like. We become fluent not by controlling but by letting go and letting our impulsive speech produce itself without our interference. Using it sometimes in certain events when fluency is really important - absolutely, but doing it always I think is not worth the fluency itself. It's too tiring and disrupts our natural sense of speech.
