ohhhhh, no no. I don't "perform/impersonate/accent" anymore. That was just an excersize I used to analyze my stutter. I'm a performer for a living, but I don't put on an act, or accent, or anything like that. Being a performer helped too, a form of extreme immersion therapy lol. Getting up in front of people constantly. Years ago when I was starting out it was a nightmare. But now I have no fear of stuttering. I've got in under control as much as possible, it's went from severe to mild. And i make no attempt to hide it. If I get a big block yes I relax and restart. But that's it. When people ask me if I have a speech impediment, I make a joke and tell them no they must have a hearing impediment. I'm very comfortable with it and accepting of it now. Which, is a far cry from the days of going home and cussing myself out and hating myself for it.
