Any native english speaker willingly to practice together? Hi everyone I'm quagsire23, first post here (and on reddit), Italian, stutterer, computer science student, nice to meet you. I suffer quite a bit from stuttering, but it is so dependent on the day and on the person I'm talking to, that I decided to just focus on my studies instead, and lately, because of an upcoming phone interview, on getting better at understanding spoken English (some accents are still troubling). Yesterday it occurred to me I'm not addressing the stuttering problem, and googling I found this subreddit. I think that it'd be great for me to practice both English and talking at the same time, and that talking to someone who's aware of my condition would be preferable to talking to random strangers, and it may be useful to both of us. Is there any native English speaker who'd be willing to talk/practice with me via some kind of call? I may be able to explain some Italian in return (for what it's worth...) as an aside: did you try "Discord" as talking medium instead of skype? I actually checked it while looking for public talk rooms, it seems to be really fit for the task, not requiring to exchange skype names. second aside: My kind of stuttering is independent from the actual word or sound, my mouth gets shut before even beginning to talk. Are there many people with my same kind of stuttering? Thanks!
