I had the same worries and struggles as you have, when I was a teen. What got me though was focusing on my goals and dreams. This helped me to manifest a lot of what I dreamt of having/doing. Now I’m 54, professional career, married, two adult daughters, beautiful home with beautiful things in it. I’m extremely grateful for all that I have despite my lifelong struggles with my stutter. Sure, it’s caused me a lot of stress, mainly in my job, but I’ve gotten through it. You learn to live with your own dark passenger. Be kind to yourself. Do what you can to understand your personal stutter, and invest the time in yourself to improve your fluency. When you do that, you’ll be less anxious in social settings and automatically feel more confident in yourself despite a few blocks here and there. You WILL fall from time to time. Just get back up and keep going. It won’t kill you. FEAR is the mind killer. Don’t let it control the outcome of your life’s journey.
