There hasn't been nearly enough research about stuttering. There are even speech therapists who almost nothing about the situation or the various treatments. Though DNA has been sequenced and edited, I guess we’re just not an important enough class. We don't get as much interest as people requiring orphan drugs. It's true that there are many unexamined and diverse causes of stuttering, and ways various people express their stuttering, there seems to be little research and new methods of treatment.
