I stutter when I’m alone too

I stutter when I’m alone too So many people have told me throughout the years that it’s just mental because “when we’re alone we don’t stutter”. I do. Mostly when I’m reading out loud to myself or practicing what I’m going to say. My stutter isn’t that bad and comes in waves (these past few weeks have been worse than normal) but I feel like it’s not severe enough in general to come out alone. I’ve also been told that processing speech in the same area of the brain where music is processed will help it — this one I relate to a little bit more but not even fully (not that I rap often but I notice it a little bit there).
