Great story, I resonated with it a lot. Some advice I can give is to focus on the very root of the stutter. Not the stutter itself. Most of my life I was trying to overcome the "stutter" and not the fears, and emotions, and traumas that were actually perpetuating the stutter. That's why speech techniques never address the root problem. All that addresses is the outcome to the shit you are holding onto. Which is like only addressing the pain of an injury instead of the injury itself. Do you have a pretty good awareness of what makes you stutter in some situations but not others?
