What type of jobs? Do they require social interactions or is it just the interview part that you find intimidating? If I was you, I'd write a letter and bring it along to the interview. It might alleviate some pressure from the verbal pressure and help you get across to them what you believe are qualities they could benefit from. Further, it shows you came prepared. Get them to respect you and stutter takes a back seat. I'll write up an example: "Hello, I am a 17 year old with no prior work experience. The reason I wrote the letter is because I have a stutter which might have gotten in the way of properly presenting myself. Stuttering is something outside of my control, which is why I am applying for a position that is not verbally demanding. What is in my control, however, is my discipline and will. On top of seeking to gather some work experience and helping my family's financial situation, I have a burning desire to prove to myself that I can do what others can - disadvantages I face in one area I make up for in others. I keep my head down and do my part. What sets me apart is that I believe I have a deeper appreciation for the job compared to others my age who may take it for granted. And the fact I sit in front of you and hand out a handwritten letter sharing this with you and other interviewers shows my determination and potential appreciation for the position. I put myself out there instead of making excuses and locking myself away. Thank you for your time and attention." Or something along these lines. You will definitely earn their respect and everyone wants a motivated and hard-working man. Go for warehouse positions or whatever position you think you could do good in that is not verbally demanding. You get an income. You feel proud with yourself. Self-esteem goes up. Then you can use the experience from this as a stepping stone to other jobs.
