Every time I have to say my name, I block hard, and I hate it so much. Not long ago I was at a nail salon, standing at the reception desk at the front of the room. One of nail artists was at the back of the room, hollering over everyone asking for my name for the appointment. We had an entire room of customers between us listening, and it must’ve looked like I was having a seizure trying to get my name out. Once I finally got my name out (after a few uncomfortable seconds of struggle), the entire room of salon employees/ patrons erupted in laughter. Surprisingly, I wasn’t so much embarrassed as I was angered. Like WTF is so funny?! I have a stutter. Why is that hilarious? I wish I could have said a come back. Anyway, I empathize with you OP.
