Could this be one of the reasons I have a stutter? Before I start off I want to say that I am aware that the cause of stuttering itself is unknown and many things play apart in determining if someone will have a lifelong stutter. According to my mom when I was born I had the umbilical cord wrapped around my neck and wasn't breathing. One of my other sisters had this too, but she was breathing. When I was a baby (before the age of 2) I was apparently a very quite baby. I didn't walk or talk. It wasn't untill I was almost 2 that I finally started to walk and "talk". But the talking wasn't really talking and more like the babbling noises babies make. It was when I was 3 and in preschool that I got put into speech therapy. I remember having to be taught how to move my tongue to make every sound over the course of preschool and elementary. I still have problems with pronouncing words, but could this also be a reason I have a stutter?
