Don't avoid things, work on it. I'm not saying to fix your stutter, I mean to work on your mindset. This is coming from someone who has to pick up phone calls and handle face-to-face enquiries at the front help desk. It was difficult and scary at first for me but with months of practice passing by, it just feels like second nature to not have anybody mention my stutter and still seeing my act of confidence.
