Highly trained SLPs who specialize in dysfluency and are PWS but now have enjoyment and control in their speech suggest to *always* disclose in some way. Disclose to everyone, regardless of sex or gender! The funnier the better! Do not apologize. Just describe as matter of factly as possible. Here’s why : a block happens *brcause* you are trying to force through embarrassing repetitions. If you let people hear them, your brain will eventually do less “forcing”, which leads directly to more fluency!
