My 2 cents: Join Toastmasters and learn how to speak in front of crowds. I know many PWS who joined Toastmasters and they benefitted greatly from it. DO NOT GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM! I am a National Trainer and I speak in front of hundreds of people bi-weekly and I truly love it. I found the joy of teaching and it feels amazing to hear their applause and positive comments afterwards.
