How bad is your stutter? I fear phone calls as well. But if you haven't made a single phone call in 10 years, you really need to start practicing. Start by just calling random places and asking basic questions like what are their hours. I recently got a new job where I have to make phone calls daily, and after a few weeks, I really started to improve. I made up my own phone scripts with words I knew I would be comfortable with. After a while, it really started to help and my stutter greatly improved. My stutter used to be the worst on the phone because you can't convey body language, but I've been getting a lot better at it. So just start practicing. I've had people just hang up on me because of my stutter. It feels totally devastating. I don't know how bad your stutter is, but becoming more comfortable and used to speaking on the phone will at least help a little.
