If it helps, I was in a similar situation. I wanted to speak to a girl but was worried about my stutter. The first time I spoke to her I had problems getting my words out, but I somehow got through it. Then speaking to her again was easier and easier. I find when I'm anxious and shy, my stutter is worse. I was even thinking I am going to tell her I have got a block stutter, but I never needed to. I think having that as a backup helped me relax. It never worked out with the girl, but at least I tried!
