Yes pretty much, maybe even better initially. It was how I found out about it, but it is more of a nootropic (reason I tried it in the first place) and i felt a little too good and almost racy on it (more dopamine action?) so to me it felt better using ttfd long term just because it had less side effects for me. It's used in France (arcalion) and Japan (i think?) medically for beriberi so it had a good safety profile but i think it's good to take pauses and don't take the ridiculously high doses people online take, stick with maybe 50-100mg for a couple of days and see how you feel. And don't take it for more than a month in a row (at least that's what the instructions says for arcalion). And don't forget magnesium citrate/glycinate. It's also good to increase the intake of other B-vitamins after a while as using too much of one depletes the others. Hasn't been a noticeable issue for me yet though.
