Going through it again, but this time for real (i hope so). I think this is the first time I get it, I'm still in the first 'step', where I have to speak slow, taking my time, bc, time is infinity and there is no rush, trying to beat time pressure, reading 5 minutes in the morning, before leaving to work, and 5 minutes once I arrive from work, and keeping calm and doing ton of pauses while speaking. The main goal is not to control your stutter, is to get rid of the time pressure, and believe bro, it really helps with your stutter. And I have tried many times, but, didn't spend enough time trying to 'master' every step. the last 3 or 4 steps are about controlling your stutter, but, first, you have to be in a position where you stopped feeling time pressure as well stopped doing those weird stuff you are doing rn (like breaking eye contact, etc) while speaking, so, you should be able to stutter, but without being affected by the stutter. I skipped the step where you have to speak slow the whole time, it's not sustainable. And the book is based on the premise that "stuttering is not something that is magically happening to you is something that you are doing", and you can change what you are doing, with practice and time. Good luck !
