I've stopped saying "Tack för maten" which means "Thanks for the food", something you usually say when you've eaten up and you're leaving the dinner table. It's just common manners to say it, you get taught to say it as a kid. I always feel like such a dickhead afterwards. But it's okay, not like it's going to matter in a year anyways. Try to answer to things like that slowly, like you've got some kind of other speech-dysfunction, it helps me out in public situations.
