Following a script is easier, which is why singing and acting is less difficult for stutterers than impromptu speech. There’s nothing magical about this. As I said, I’m glad whatever you are doing is working, and keeping a positive outlook is certainly helpful, but we have to be able to accept that we have a disorder if we want to figure out how to fix it. There’s nothing shameful about having a disability and being neurodivergent, and what works for one person may not necessarily work for everyone.
