Hi! I'm a 48yo stutterer here. I've been one all my life. In my experience, deciding that it was never going to hold me back was the best thing I've ever done. I spent 4 years in the military after high school. Then college, then 22 years in the government. All of this with a pretty heavy stutter. It hasn't been easy at times...Public speaking still scares the shit out of me. However, you get used to the daily adversity. We can do anything the fluents can. It just takes more effort. You totally have this!
