I don't think its related at all. I'm the total opposite, my struggle with stuttering (which I can describe as similar to yours i.e. relatively mild) have made me a little too empathetic. I may be wrong but I think we overrate the impact that it has on the rest of our personality. We may develop similar traits but the overall personality is unrelated....imo
