The brain can rewire itself (see neuroplasticity) so there isn't any reason why stuttering couldn't be cured ("cure" means no speech fear and a speech that doesn't seem disabled to others - 100% fluent speech is impossible, because even stutter-free people have some blocks and hesitations in their speech time to time).
