This is exactly how I felt and still feel (to an extent.) I'm 25 years old and have been dealing with it since as long as I can remember. I always hated presenting but was a social enough kid that fit in w/ lots of different cliches. I joined the military and did 7 years as an intelligence professional. There were lots of times where I had to speak to my far superiors explaining information that they knew little about. In the formal setting and informal setting. The formal settings were always the most extreme worst, but I got over it, I got through it. I got the information out there. Before I separated I saw a speech pathologist that really helped me with some breathing techniques and other speech techniques. **The biggest piece of advice that I can give to you is:** * **Do not let your speech hold you back. If your mind wants to do something, let your mouth be surprised and ride with it.** In therapy I learned how to become a successful stutter. I still face my challenges, but it's better now that I'm okay with myself about it. Stuttering something that will never go away. Start developing techniques that help you achieve fluency. Best of luck to you friend!
