my husband did not laugh at my stutter during our first date. he asked me things about my stutter, being genuinely interested and caring. i agree that people can laugh as a response to being awkward and confused due to not knowing that someone stutters or what stuttering even is, but in this case she already knows, so that's a huge red flag for me.
