Poor writing composition skills related to stuttering? I've had a minor stutter my entire life and while it bothers me when it pops up, it is not debilitating and has not prompted me to seek speech therapy. However, I have also always had a lot of difficulty writing. Not the physical aspect of writing, but rather a paper that takes my peers 4 hours to write will take me 10 hours to write. I am now a college graduate working in the financial field and my job consists of intermittently writing 10 page reports, which has not gotten easier over the last 9 months I have been doing them. It's like I can't come up with any ideas of what to write in these reports other than the bare minimum, dry facts that are needed. Any creative (or "fluffy") writing escapes me. I just sit at my desk and stare at the computer screen thinking for 10 minutes just to write one sentence. Does anyone know/suspect if my extremely slow writing is related to my stuttering, or is it more likely related to something else?
