Is it worth is to see a SLP? This is in regard to cluttering so I hope it’s ok to post about that here. I couldn’t fine a more appropriate place. I’ve always had a lot of issues with expressing myself and have had a mild stutter for a long time, but did not get any treatment. Growing up, I had severe social anxiety, which resulting in me not talking very much. However, I have been dealing with that anxiety and talk much more to people now, including at my job. But now that I have more to say, I’ve realized that I have a terrible time explaining things, expressing my thoughts into words, and telling stories. I stop mid conversation, restart sentences, have a lot of long pauses, and cannot keep a story linear. I often leave clients and coworkers confused after trying to tell them something. I thought I was just a lofty person, but found more information that this could be cluttering. My main question is: should I go to see a SLP? I would like to know if what I am doing is cluttering and would like some help with it. But I guess I’m worried that my issue isn’t a big deal and that I’ll be wasting someone’s time.
