are there more than one reasons why people stutter?

are there more than one reasons why people stutter? My stuttering problem isn't as serious. It's true that i stutter all the time, but I'm usually able to stop it in the middle of sentence and start over again. Recently i started engaging with some coworkers who also stutter, but have a much more serious case, so it made me curious if everyone's cause is different. When i was little, after a number of therapists, one finally proclaimed that i apparently "breathe differently"...? - That I'm supposed to take the breath to a different part of my lungs, it helped a bit, but it's quickly come back. I'd love to hear what's your story or view on this opinion
