Why not both? Odds are you won't be able to eliminate it, but that doesn't mean you can't improve. Think of it as a chronic condition. It will be with you forever, but it is manageable. Get good at managing the before, during, and after a moment of disfluency. Is it a common sound? Did you feel it happen? What did you do in that moment? How did it effect you afterwards? Accept it as a part of you, become an expert at your stutter, and slowly chip away at it. As you accept it, other people will too.
