I feel sometimes the insecurity stuttering causes in someone hurts them more than the actual reactions by people around them. Sure, there must be mean people that'll laugh or be mean but that doesn't mean it's the most natural response. Regarding women, I think it didn't impact my dating life because I just didn't let it be a factor, if I was terrified of women because of it and acted insecure around women maybe I'd have gotten rejected more. When people have asked me if it makes my dating life harder I just reply that if someone doesn't like it or is mean about my stuttering I just wouldn't want to be around someone like that anyway. It's a natural filter for dumb and cruel people I guess.
