I thought this was an easy answer for me but turns out: It's not. I'd like to drop my thoughts here and would love to hear about your opinion on it as well! :) Yes, I think you can overcome stuttering. For some, the road to success is therapy, for others it is immensly boosting self-confidence, for others it's learning to not give a f anymore and to accept it and for others it might be something else. You can get fluent, maybe even get rid of a huge part of your anxiety to perform and no one will know you ever stuttered once. You can get on stage and not feel the anxiety and pain that had once kept you silent. No, I don't think you can overcome stuttering. Stuttering is not just the blocks etc., it's also the mindset and everything that comes with it like forgetting words and other coping mechanisms your brain has come up with in your years of stuttering. The past experiences with stuttering still exist (more or less painful, depending on the person and the memories). I'm sure I would still be extremely careful with words, even if I never stuttered again, and this is still a part or cause of stuttering, so I didn't fully "overcome" it.
