I completely agree with finding a good speech therapist. Doing so for me completely changed my life. Before therapy I could not look people in the eye when I talked. I was ashamed of how I spoke and tried to hide it as much as I can. The therapy I went through focused on desensitization as well as learning how to stutter less. As in my classmates and I were walking around NYC asking random strangers to take oral surveys about how they feel about stuttering. Fast forward 15 years and I am happily married with beautiful children and a good job. It can get better, hang in there. Feel free to DM me if you’d like to talk. Stay strong!
