My experience from speaking slowly Have recently come to the decision that I have to start speaking slowly if I really want to mask my stutter, which as much as I don't want to, have decided is the best thing to do given my current environment Positives: \- Stuttering has gone down by maybe 70% \- Less awkward moments Negatives: \- Feel like I am boring people with how slow I am speaking, and that I'm irritating them (unsure how true this is) \-Feel that I can't be funny or charismatic because most funny and charismatic people I've met speak very quickly And the biggest one is.. is that it is **INCREDIBLY EXHAUSTING**... I will push through it as I owe it to myself to at least continue talking like this to see if I am perceived better by others/make more friends, but damn, I don't know if I can keep this up for a lifetime/how sustainable this is Feel free to share your thoughts, especially if you are/have been in a similar boat
