Here's the first step: Understand what causes anxiety and learn as much as you can about social anxiety. Why? Understanding something makes it familiar to your brain, and makes it less scary. If you're going through a anxiety inducing event, instead of wondering what the heck is happening to you, you'll know exactly what's going on at a neurological level. This is empowering, this is the first step towards making 'real' change (not just tricks and gimmicks). Here are 2 books I highly recoemmend. Our social anxiety is triggered by our stutter and our inability to express ourselves freely in social situation. There are specific strategies that we can pursue to overcome it.
