Well you're lucky the cashier managed to figure out what you wanted. I had a similar experience in junior high, I went to the teachers room to look for a certain teacher, but I couldn't manage to say his name when I asked where he was, so I just stood there like an idiot for a few minutes (yeah, minutes, not seconds) while everyone in the room just stared at me. That was horrifying tbh.
