Does anyone else stutter *IN THEIR MIND* before even speaking?? I’ll be talking to someone and have a thought in my mind I want to say. I’ll practice it in my head…and I’ll stutter it in my head. Like my brain will chop it up exactly like my mouth does. I’ll even try to say it anyway, and I’ll end up stuttering it the exact same way I did in my head. Not just in conversations, though, and that’s what’s really strange. I’ll be thinking, just talking to myself in my head (like, hmmm, this shirt or that shirt today? …I really need to wash clothes this afternoon…etc) and my thought-words will be stuttering just as if I was speaking. This has happened since I was a child…only recently have I discovered it might not be a normal stuttering quirk. But please tell me I’m not alone, or at least explain what this is!
