Types of speech therapy? I used to attend 45 minutes sessions X2 per week, with a speech therapist and we'd do diaphragmatic breathing and basically say out loud words so that my brain would register it I guess. There was no technique really like hold your last syllable or sth. This would last years not like 3 days. Consistent work for years. I moved to college and I visited another speech therapy. Her approach is totally different. I don't trust her as much. But she basically says stuttering is incurable you got to accept it. So, everything is based on the psychology of it. And then teaching you techniques like using another voice to basically mask your stutter when you feel like it. So, she doesn't really focus on breathing etc and it feels more like a seminar rather than a training programme that steadily builds up your speaking skills. What helped you the most?
