I’d say just know that talking is a big effort. Interrupting him or asking him to explain something that is ultimately irrelevant is really frustrating. I love my wife and she is amazing but this was the only thing that was difficult in the beginning. If I’m stressed out, don’t ask me about minutia because the effort it takes to talk can be exhausting. I think the hardest thing for people to appreciate it is that for them, talking is almost as simple as moving your arm. You think about it, and it happens. For us, it’s more complicated. It takes a lot of focus and effort.
