Late thirties here! Life is quite good. My husband of 16 years is also a "covert" stutterer and had a more severe stutter as a child, so we understand each other's stutter struggles. Our son is four and stutters sometimes when he's excited. It's still hard to tell whether it's a stutter or he's just little and excited to say something. It's definitely something we worry about because we both had a rough time as kids who stutter. If I have a "bad" stuttering day, I sing. I never stutter when I sing, and that feeling of fluency always boosts my confidence.
