I think breaking the ice is a really good option. However instead of saying something formal, I’d personally say something along the lines of “I’ve got a stutter so bare with me, this might take a while” and laugh/smile too so everyone (including yourself) feel comfortable. I’ve found that doing this turns peoples smirks into smiles that can help you keep going
