A lot of ppl here are totally encumbered their stutter because they *cannot effectively communicate*. In fact, esp if you have a covert stutter based in panic, your listeners will not know what’s going on. Ppl will think your intellectual capacity is far below what it is, as evidenced by the recent debate. Someone who’s missing a limb generally has the social benefit of others being able to immediately see why you are struggling.
