If it’s a norm to be insensitive about different things where you’re from, then you be insensitive about any negative opinion people may have about your stuttering. And then be insensitive to others. Not in a vengeful way, but if that’s your culture, then be it too as a coping mechanism and way of expressing yourself. Because a high level of self expression helps us stutter less, in my opinion. An insensitive friend can almost be a good thing, because it’s like a free pass to be direct and to the point with them as well. Because if they dish it, they gotta be able to take it.
