I’ve been with my boyfriend for three years now and he is absolutely supportive of me and everything I do. My stutter has never been a problem to him and each time I accomplish something big, he’s always so proud of me and is constantly amazed by how much I do in spite of my condition. My personal experience has been overwhelmingly positive but I am aware that others are not always so lucky. You really just have to be honest and open and if your partner doesn’t accept your stutter, they don’t accept you and that makes it easy to move on in my opinion. I’m so sorry you had that happen to you and I sincerely hope you will find someone who loves you as much as they accept your stutter.
